1Even if they run a high end chip, it ll be like that only.. In intel Both decoding and encoding done by processor alone. 780 can handle graphics intensive tasks, so the processor is free.

3I mean you CAN run 780G + a Sempron 3200+ CPU to play HD videos nice and smooth.

The chipset decodes the HD stream, NOT (only) the CPU.
